Cortex XDR
Description:
The endpoint protection software installed on SFA computers is Cortex XDR from Palo Alto Networks. This software is installed on all SFA owned Windows and MacOS computers and is designed to protect SFA computers and data from security threats. The software scans every campus computer every evening so it is imperative that your SFA computer be left on when not in use, including weekends, holidays and summer breaks. Computers that are NOT connected to our network (laptops on campus or at home) are not scanned automatically and should be manually scanned from time to time to ensure they are free of malicious software.
How to Scan your Computer:
Should you want to initiate a scan of your computer, just follow these instructions. Instructions are available for both Windows 10 and Windows 11. (On MacOS computers scanning occurs automatically and cannot be manually initiated.)
