Upcoming Changes to SFA Login Experience – Single Sign-On and Duo Security

Summary

ITS will be upgrading our Central Authentication Service (CAS/Single Sign-On) and Duo Security platforms.

Body

We’re reaching out to inform you about an upcoming enhancement to the way you log in to SFA services. As part of our ongoing commitment to improve security and user experience, ITS will be upgrading our Central Authentication Service (CAS/Single Sign-On) and Duo Security platforms.

What’s Changing?

  • New Look and Feel:
The Duo authentication prompt will have a refreshed design. The new interface will be more modern, mobile-friendly, and accessible.
  • Same Process, Enhanced Experience:
While the appearance is changing, the way you log in remains the same. You will still enter your SFA credentials and verify your identity using Duo Security.

When Will This Happen?
These changes are scheduled to go live Tuesday, June 3. No action is required on your part, but we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the updated login experience.

Why the Change?

  • To align with current security best practices
  • To enhance usability across devices
  • To improve supportability and performance of our login systems

What to Expect:
You will notice:

  • A new Duo prompt with a more intuitive layout
  • Minor changes to the Single Sign-On page
  • The same level of security and protection you’ve come to rely on
