The Help Desk has shifted its focus to services that can be delivered consistently and efficiently for all students. This allows our team to prioritize support areas where we can provide the most reliable assistance.
► Can the Help Desk still help me if I’m having issues with my device?
Yes. The Help Desk is still available to assist with software issues, connectivity problems, email access, and general troubleshooting.
► Will someone still look at my device if I’m not sure what’s wrong?
Yes. Staff can help determine whether an issue may be software or hardware-related and guide you on next steps.
► What should I do if my device needs hardware repair?
For hardware-related issues (such as screen damage, battery replacement, or internal component problems), students should seek assistance from an external repair provider.
► Does this change apply to university-owned devices?
No. This change applies only to student-owned devices. Support for university-owned equipment is handled through other ITS processes.
► When did this change take effect?
This change went into effect at the close of the 2026 Spring semester.
