What is OneNote?

OneNote is a digital note-taking app that allows users to create and manage notebooks of information, ideas, plans, and research.

All faculty, staff and students have access to OneNote Office 365 through mySFA.

 

OneNote Functionality

  • Note-taking: users can type, write, draw, or record audio or video notes. Handwritten notes can be converted to typed text.
  • Organization: users can organize notes into sections and notebooks, and move notes around the page.
  • Collaboration: users can share notebooks with others over a network or the internet.
  • Search: users can search for notes quickly and easily.
  • Cross-device access: OneNote notebooks are stored online and can be accessed on any device, including laptops, tablets, and phones.
  • Integration: users can preview Stream videos from SharePoint directly within OneNote
  • Additional Features: 
    • Clip & search from the web
    • Highlight important ideas
    • Express ideas with shapes or colors
    • Embed Excel tables
    • Process math formulas and calculations
