Resetting Your mySFA Password
Students Only
If you forget your password for mySFA, it can be recovered via SMS PIN code if you have completed enrollment in this process. If you have not and know the password now is a great time to complete enrollment.
All students are encouraged to enroll by following these actions:
- Go to the myPassword webpage.
- Login to complete your profile
- Enter your mySFA username and click "Logon".
- Complete Enrollment with your mobile phone number (PIN code sent via text).
If your number has changed or you have not enrolled yet and need a password reset, you will need to call the Help Desk at 936-468-4357. You can also go by the Help Desk location in the Ralph W. Steen Library for assistance.

Employees and Generic Email Accounts
SFA employees and generic accounts are not able to enroll in password reset via SMS PIN code at this time.
- If you do not know your password and need to reset, call the Help Desk at 936-468-4357.
- Owners of generic accounts will need to call the Help Desk at 4357 to get assistance with password changes.
If you know your password, change from your work computer by following these steps:
Windows
From your windows computer select Ctrl-Alt-Delete (3 buttons at the same time) and select the “Change a Password” link.
MAC OS
From your MAC change your password by going to the top program bar selecting systems preferences then the users and groups icon, then select your username and you will see a “Change Password” button.
**Note: Below is the criteria for a new password:
- The password has to have at least 12 characters
- The password has to have at least 1 upper case letter, 1 lower case letter and 1 number
- The password cannot be your username or contain your username
