Which Versions of Android Does Duo Mobile Support?

Duo Mobile is the app used for Duo Verified Push and generating passcodes. To stay secure and compatible, Duo Mobile must run on a supported Android version. Duo recommends upgrading to the most recent Android version available for your device.

Supported Android Versions

Minimum supported Android version: Android 11 or newer

Devices running older versions may not be able to install the latest Duo Mobile updates and may not receive troubleshooting support, maintenance fixes, or security updates.

Not Supported
Duo does not provide official support for non-standard Android distributions (custom ROMs). Duo Mobile is also not supported on ChromeOS devices.

How to Check Your Android Version

  1. Open Settings on your Android device.
  2. Search for About phone (or About device).
  3. Look for Android version.

How to Check Your Duo Mobile App Version

  1. Open Settings on your Android device.
  2. Tap Apps (or Apps & notifications).
  3. Select Duo Mobile.
  4. Look for the Version on the App Info screen.

If You Cannot Upgrade Your Android Device

If your device cannot be upgraded to a supported Android version, you may not be able to use the latest Duo Mobile features or updates.
