Duo Restore allows you to recover Duo-protected accounts when setting up Duo Mobile on a new device or after reinstalling the app.
This feature helps reduce account lockouts and simplifies the transition when you replace or reset your mobile device.
What Duo Restore Can Recover
- Duo-protected SFA accounts enrolled in Duo Mobile
- Third-party one-time passcode accounts stored in Duo Mobile
Availability of restore features may depend on your mobile operating system and the version of the Duo Mobile app installed.

Duo Restore applies only to accounts previously enrolled in Duo Mobile. If you no longer have access to your original device or cannot complete the restore process, contact the IT Help Desk for assistance.
