Accessing Staples/Summus Punchout

What do I do when I cannot open the Staples/Summus Showcased Supplier catalog?

This issue appears to be a browser‑level issue related to third‑party cookie settings rather than a supplier connection issue. This punchout relies on cookies to maintain the session between Jaggaer and the Staples/Summus site. If third‑party cookies are blocked, users may see an error even though the punchout request itself is successful.

Below are the recommended items to check for the most common browsers. While the exact menu names vary slightly by version, these settings are generally located within each browser’s Privacy or Privacy & Security settings.  Instructions are provided for the three most-popular browsers.   

What to Check

  • Ensure third‑party cookies are allowed
    • OR confirm that the Jaggaer site and our supplier site are explicitly listed as allowed exceptions
  • If third‑party cookies are restricted globally, add the platform site(s) to the Allowed / Exceptions list

Microsoft Edge

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Privacy, search, and services
  3. Under Tracking prevention, ensure it is not set to Strict
  4. Under Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
  5. Confirm Block third‑party cookies is turned off, or
  6. Add the Jaggaer domain and our supplier domain under Allow

Google Chrome

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Privacy and security
  3. Click Cookies and other site data
  4. Ensure Block third‑party cookies is disabled
    • Or add the Jaggaer site and our supplier site under Sites that can always use cookies
  5. If adding exceptions, ensure including third‑party cookies is enabled for those sites

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Privacy & Security
  3. Under Enhanced Tracking Protection
    • Set to Standard (not Strict)
  4. Scroll to Cookies and Site Data
  5. Click Manage Exceptions
  6. Add the Jaggaer site and our supplier site and set them to Allow

Once these settings are updated, it is recommended that the browser is fully closed and reopened.
