Resetting Your mySFA Password

SFA employees and owners of generic accounts are not able to enroll in password reset via SMS PIN code at this time. 

If you need to reset your password, or are the owner of a generic account, you will need to call the Help Desk at 936-468-HELP (4357) to get assistance with password changes.


If you know your password, you can change your password from your work computer by following these steps:

Windows
From your windows computer select Ctrl-Alt-Delete (3 buttons at the same time) and select the “Change a Password” link.

MAC OS
From your MAC change your password by going to the top program bar selecting systems preferences then the users and groups icon, then select your username and you will see a “Change Password” button.


Below is the criteria for a new password:

  • The password has to have at least 12 characters

  • The password has to have at least 1 upper case letter, 1 lower case letter and 1 number

  • The password cannot be your username or contain your username
