When do Course Evaluations Open and Close?

Faculty are able to view evaluation dates at any time during the semester by viewing their section list on the Course Evaluation Reporting page (dates are located on the right side of the page). 

Please note that course evaluations cannot be reopened once they close.

Fall & Spring Semesters

16-week courses

• Evaluations will open on the Monday 4 weeks before the end of the semester.
  • Example: If the semester ends on Friday, May 8th, evaluations will open on Monday, April 13th.
• Evaluations will close at the end of the day on the Sunday before finals week.
  • Example: If finals week begins on Monday, May 4th, evaluations will close on Sunday, May 3rd. 

8-week courses

• Evaluations will open 7 days before the end of the course.
  • Example: If the course ends on May 8th, evaluations will open on May 1st.
• Evaluations will close the day before the last class day at the end of the day
  • Example: If the course ends on May 8th, evaluations will close on May 7th.

Summer Semesters

• Evaluations will open 7 days before the end of the course.
  • Example: If the course ends on June 26th, evaluations will open on June 19th.
• Evaluations will close the day before the last class day at the end of the day.
  • Example: If the course ends on June 26th, evaluations will close on June 25th.
