Adobe Installation Instructions for Mac OS

If you are using a Mac: 

 

  • Click the Launchpad icon in your dock.

  • Find and click the icon with the SFA Logo titled Self-Service 

 

 

  • A new window opens. From the displayed list of applications, locate the icon for Adobe CC ETLA, and click the box where it says Install. This will begin downloading Adobe Creative Cloud. 

 

 

  • The installer will run automatically once downloaded. Progress is displayed by the blue circle below the Adobe icon. Once the installation is complete, the Install button is replaced by a Reinstall button. You may close the Self Service window. 

 

  • Note: Clicking the middle blue square will stop the download and/or installation. Do this only if an Install button was clicked by mistake. 

 

      

 

  • Open a new Finder window by clicking the Finder icon on your dock. 

 

 

 

  • In the window that opens, find and click Applications in the list on the left to open the Applications folder. Next, find and double-click the Adobe Creative Cloud folder to open it. 

 

 

  • Double-click Adobe Creative Cloud. 

 

 

 

This opens the Creative Cloud Desktop Application. 

 

  • Type your SFA email address, then click the Continue button. When prompted, sign in the same way you would to mySFA. 

 

 

 

 

  

  • Next, sign in using your mySFA credentials. Do so, and click the Login button. 

 

 

 

  • The application may update. Allow it to complete. It will re-open afterward.

Creative Cloud Desktop is where you’ll download and install the specific Adobe applications you need. For instance, if you just need Acrobat DC to create and edit PDF files, click the "Install" button. You can then access it from within the Creative Cloud Desktop or from the Launchpad. If you were granted access to the Creative Cloud suite, then you can install any other program listed in the Creative Cloud Desktop.
