  • Equip hiring departments with the knowledge and skills to effectively use the Online Hiring Center (OHC).
  • Support a smooth transition from PeopleAdmin into Insight and the OHC.
  • Generate support and momentum for the continued rollout of the complete NEOED suite.
  • Establish ongoing learning and support resources.

Key Terms

  • NEOGOV: This is the parent company providing our new software solution.
  • NEOED: A division of NEOGOV, NEOED offers a suite of applications specifically designed for higher education institutions. These applications support functions such as hiring, onboarding, performance management, and training.
  • Insight: This is the core application within NEOED that streamlines the hiring process - from creating a requisition to finalizing a new hire.
  • Online Hiring Center (OHC): A component within Insight, the OHC is the interface that hiring departments will use to manage all tasks related to the hiring process.

Permitted Tasks for Different Roles:

Originator:

  • Create requisitions

HR Liaison:

  • Create requisitions
  • View all assigned departments' requisitions
  • Manage all assigned departments' OHC user accounts (if given access)
  • View applications
  • Send notices to candidates (if given access)
  • View and take action on all assigned departments' referred lists

Hiring Manager:

  • Create requisitions
  • View applications
  • Send notices to candidates (if given access)
  • View and take action on assigned referred lists

Rater: 

  • View applications
  • View and rate assigned referred lists

SME:

  • View applications
  • Change candidates' disposition values (before the referred list)

Approver:

  • Approve/deny requisitions
  • View applications
  • Approve/deny offers
  • Approve/deny hires
