Accessing SFA Email on Mobile Devices

Accessing SFA Email on Apple Devices (iOS):

Open Settings app & select the Mail setting

 

  1. Select Accounts, select Add Account, then select Exchange

 

  1. Enter your SFA email address, provide a description (this will be the title of the mailbox within the Mail app; recommended “SFASU”) & select Next

  1. Select Configure Manually

  1. Enter your mySFA password & select Next

  1. Enter the following information, then select Next:
    1. Server: mymail.sfasu.edu
    2. Domain: sfasu.nac
    3. Username: your mySFA username
    4. Password: your mySFA password

  1. Select what you’d like to sync to your device (deselect what you do not want to see) - recommended to sync Mail & Calendars, then click Save

  1. Exit out of settings & navigate to the Mail app to confirm the setup is complete

  1. If you have multiple mailboxes (ex. Personal email, SFASU, etc.), click the mailbox name in the top left to navigate back to the list of Mailboxes within the Mail app

  3. Select Manual Setup
    1. Enter your SFA email address
    2. Domain\username:  sfasu.nac\your mySFA username
      1. Be sure to use a backslash not a forward slash
    3. Enter your mySFA password
    4. Exchange Server:  mymail.sfasu.edu
    5. Port:  443


       
  4. Click next and apply security settings


     
  5. Select/adjust preferences

  6. Activate device admin app

    Activate device admin app

Allow Email to remotely control security features 
on your phone? 
This will let Email do the following: 
Activating this admin app Will allow Email to 
perform the following actions: 
• Erase all data 
Erase the phone's data Without warning by 
performing a factory data reset 
Set password rules 
Control the length and the characters allowed 
in screen lock passwords and PINs. 
• Monitor screen unlock attempts 
Monitor the number of incorrect passwords 
typed, when unlocking the screen, and lock the 
phone or erase all the phone's data if too many 
incorrect passwords are typed. 
• Lock the screen 
Control how and when the screen locks. 
• Set screen lock password 
expiration 
Change how frequently the screen lock 
password. PIN, or pattern must be changed. 
• Set storage encryption 
Require that stored app data be encrypted. 
• Disable cameras 
Cancel 
Activate
