Troubleshooting Duo Push notifications on Apple Watch

To troubleshoot Duo Push delivery issues with your Apple Watch, try the following:

  • Ensure the watch is within Bluetooth range of your phone. Approximately 33 feet (10 meters) is the maximum range, but this distance may also be limited by environmental factors.
  • Ensure that none of the following are enabled, as they will affect notification delivery and/or screen waking: Sleep Mode, Silent Mode, and Theatre Mode.
  • Toggle Bluetooth off and on on your phone.
  • Restart the watch to force the phone and watch to reset their connection.

Note the Apple Watch is not able to generate passcodes or answer push notifications without a nearby phone as it requires communication with Duo Mobile running on a phone.
